FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this cryptographically secure?
Yes. This tool uses window.crypto.getRandomValues(), the cryptographically secure random number generator available in all modern browsers. It does not use Math.random().
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The password is generated and displayed entirely within your browser. It is never transmitted to any server, stored, or logged.
How long should my password be?
Security standards recommend at least 16 characters for most accounts, and 20 or more characters for high-value accounts. Longer is always better.
Does this tool store generated passwords?
No. Nothing is saved. If you navigate away from the page, the password is gone.
